Sanderson are partnering with the governing body of horse racing on the island of Ireland. To develop and deliver the marketing and communications strategy for the company in line with the strategic objectives of the company in order to optimise both the race day and non-race day income levels. The position will be part of the company's senior management team offering a fulfilling and rewarding role for a successful candidate with ambitions to develop a career in the horse racing industry. Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer. Responsibilities: Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for the company which will deliver the key commercial and marketing objectives of the company. Create integrated, high-quality overall marketing and communication plans for the racecourse and training grounds. Implement tactical marketing strategies for specific race day and non-race day events and product lines, using both traditional and digital media. Manage a small team of staff responsible for delivery of excellent marketing and communications for both race day and non-race day aspects of the business. Maintain and manage the compnay's websites and key communication channels, delivering high standards, consistent tone and a clearly identifiable brand. Manage the delivery of sponsors marketing material including catalogue, website, invitations, EDMs and advertisements. Maintain excellent relationships with industry and general media partners, issuing press releases and information updates as necessary. Manage all third-party relationships, including PR agencies and media outlets, to establish and maximise opportunities and deliver against strategic objectives. Have responsibility for and deliver against the annual marketing budget in accordance with all internal company policies and procedures. Skills and Experience: A strategic and creative thinker who will bring innovation and fresh ideas to the role. A relevant marketing qualification with at least five years experience in a senior role. A thorough understanding of digital marketing and the role of social media and analytics in attracting and retaining customers. Experience of managing a team structure and of dealing with associated staff issues. A capacity to establish positive relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external. Planning, report writing and budget management experience, including reporting performance against budget.
