Our client, a well-established meat processing company with a global client base, requires a Plant Manager to work closely with the GM at their Kildare plant. The Plant Manager job would suit a person who has relevant site/plant management experience in the food industry (ideally meat) and to hit the ground running in this role you will need to have strong leadership and communication skills along with good customer facing expertise when dealing with clients. Finally, as Plant Manager having strong commercial & financial acumen along with the ability to go seamlessly from "the floor to the office and back again" is key to be successful in the position! The main elements of this exciting Plant Manager role will include: * Working alongside the GM you will help to coordinate and direct all the major plant functions, maintain good employee relations and meet all budgetary objectives. * As Plant Manager you will also be responsible for the execution of all manufacturing operations including Product, Planning, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Maintenance, Purchasing, Safety, Shipping, Receiving and Materials Controls, all in conformance with company policies and all applicable regulatory and legal requirements. * Responsible for coordination and communication of the operations forecast, including the identification of key financial operating risks and potential offsets. * You will also support all strategic efforts to generate new sales and maintain the existing customer base. You will be joining a company with a flat management structure and where you will be the GM's No 2 helping them achieve and exceed the various site/company targets & metrics. Ideally you hold a relevant qualification in Management or Engineering (a degree is not essential), have a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership within a food production environment & a proven ability to effectively communicate with and influence large groups of employees.
