Depot Manager - Carlow and Kildare. A vacancy for a Depot Manager, responsible for a depot in Carlow and Kildare. Primary Purpose of the Role: To manage the day to day depot activities to achieve greater efficiencies for the business and improved productivity within the team while achieving the budgeted volume & contribution. The role is suited to someone flexible, willing to go the extra mile while effectively managing the team in a fast paced customer focused environment. Key Responsibilities. Management of the depot team drivers, administrators and customer service including, recruitment, training and performance management. Administration, Processing & Account Management. Managing the office team to ensure month-end close off is completed on time to include bank reconciliations, stock management and account reconciliations. Responsible for achievement of a minimum of 90% pass grade on all process audits. Responsible for ensuring that all plant and trucks are in safe working order through implementation of preventative maintenance schedules. Achieve operational excellence and maximise synergies across the region through ongoing review of routing schedules and sensible management of staff working hours. Manage all stock levels in the depots ensuring all procedures are followed. Manage all costs within the business to keep within budget and contribute towards achievement of monthly depot P&L's for all sales, margins and overheads. Ensuring all invoices/PO's are coded correctly and input correctly. Responsible for ensuring that staff can work in a safe and secure environment and that all business is conducted in a safe manner. Responsible for ensuring that all operational and H&S policies and procedures are followed. Overall management of domestic ledger. Leading the team to encourage domestic customers to pay by credit card/COD. To complete any other administration duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the depot. Operate, at all times, in a customer friendly and supportive way with both customers and staff. Competencies & Requirements. People Management experience is essential. Develop and maintain a good team spirit with all depot staff and encourage co-operation with other depots and departments.
