Cpl Healthcare are currently seeking a social care to join a newly established community support team to support adults with ASD to live independently through development and skill building activities. This is an exciting opportunity, to see the benefits of using a progressive model of care through evidence based assessments and interventions to support service users independence and inclusion. The role will involve supporting people to identify ways to manage or maintain their own household, promote personal safety, develop communication skills, research educational or employment opportunities, financial planning and budgeting and much more. Qualification Requirements: Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland. OR. Relevant third level qualification at degree level i.e. social work, psychology, and/or allied health. OR. Post-graduate qualification in Autism Studies. Experience: Ideally one-year recent experience in the social care/disability sector. Experience of dealing with safeguarding and welfare responsibilities and responding appropriately to any concerns. Experience in liaising and networking with community services. Ability to promote independence supporting others to learn how not doing it for them. An understanding of the social model of disability. Experience of supporting individuals with a diagnosis of ASD. Demonstrated experience to meet tight deadlines.
