Supply Chain Manager, Co. Kildare. Currently the fastest growing retail grocery brands in the market, our client is looking for an experienced and driven Supply Chain Manager to join their expanding business. You must hold experience of running a cost-efficient and lean operation, be well versed of working at pace, working with 3PL suppliers and managing a strong team effectively. In addition, the successful Supply Chain Manager and their team will ensure that every step of the supply chain operates to the highest of standards, and will play a crucial part in ensuring that the business continues to present the best possible offering to their customers. You will be working for one of Ireland's great employer brands and an international success story. *Please note that you will have to train in the UK for a period of time, and then regular travel to the UK is required. Your day-to-day: Responsibility for sections of the logistics supply chain for example frozen, chilled, non-food and ambient. Accountable for ensuring that the business have availability of products while remaining cost-effective for the business. Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers and 3PLs. Working with 3PLs and suppliers to ensure that the businesses standards are met across the board. Responsibility for leading, managing and developing a team of Logistics Assistants, who will directly interact with Buying Directors, Suppliers and 3PLs. Experience you'll hold: Experience in a time-pressed logistics environment. A track record of developing people and teams - Minimum 5 years relevant Management experience. Commercial understanding, including experience in contract negotiation or deal-making. Strong academics (2:1 Degree or above. Management of 3PL. Cost Savings & Budget Management. Working within a Retail Grocery or FMCG environment. Highly organised and with strong attention to detail. Diplomatic, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
