The State Laboratory provides a comprehensive analytical and advisory service to Government Departments and Offices.   Vacancies now exist for Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry). The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for carrying out qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses of a routine and non-routine nature in support of legislation and Government regulatory programmes.   Candidates must hold a qualification, or anticipate that they will hold a qualification, of at least Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications with chemistry/analytical chemistry being the major component of the final year programme by December, 31st 2019. They will also have experience of sample preparation and have practical laboratory skills as well as experience with chromatographic, spectroscopic, volumetric, and gravimetric techniques.
