Cpl is urgently seeking experienced buyers to join a multinational and expanding company in Dublin West/ Kildare. This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a global leader in the design, engineering and construction of high-tech facilities and major complex projects. The successful candidates will provide an efficient and effective procurement service to assigned project and assist in the implementation of the group procurement strategies. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the project procurement activities for sub-contractors, goods and services. Responsible for the execution of the Procurement Schedule (DPPS) relating to critical, time sensitive packages and equipment, Reporting of procurement status to the Procurement Manager on a weekly basis and update buying reports. Controls and issues notice of Procurement Meeting. Implement the procurement procedures and utilise all standard documents. Comply with Business and where the project procurement procedures. Ensure all Sub-Contractors and Suppliers are Pre-Qualified using M+W Ariba system. Produce suitable vendor list for all packages. Interface with key supply chain providers and conduct performance reviews. Liaise with key supply chain providers and visit as necessary. Negotiate deals and long-term arrangements with local supply chain providers. Expedite internal stakeholders and supply chain providers in a proactive manner. Prepare tender enquiries and pricing schedules, ensure Scope of Works and ITT documentation is complete as possible, liaise with project team to ensure compliance. Ensure all RFI’s are duly answered by the relevant internal / external stakeholders during the tender stage. Carryout final negotiations with the project manager/commercial manager and chair pre-let meeting minutes. Compile all Order information including Recommendation to Award for review with the Procurement Manager. Co-ordinate the provision of pricing information to support the compilation of business bids. Represent Procurement at meetings (both internal and external to the Project. Carry out other duties as required by the Procurement Manager. Continually review the overall “value” offered by existing suppliers and ensures that the Company’s purchasing remains globally competitive. Assist with regular re-negotiations of terms of business/service agreements and performance evaluation with suppliers, taking corrective action as required by the procurement manager. Management of Key Performance Indicators. Requirements: Degree in Construction or other equivalent qualification. 6+ years’ extensive procurement management experience in high tech / M&E or construction projects. Suitable safety training and working knowledge of UK Safety and Environmental Legislation. Good Negotiation Skills, familiarity with Standard Forms of Contract. Experience of leading the procurement activity for major goods, and/or services in a multi-site business. Membership of Charted Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent i.e. CIOB/RICS. Computer Literacy, experience of SAP or other ERM system. *Competitive salary and package on offer – DOE.
