Our client, a fantastic four star property in Maynooth, Kildare are looking for a Business Development Sales Executive. This role will involve being out on the road sourcing new business and meeting existing corporates so a full clean drivers' licence and own car is essential. Summary: To convey a positive and professional image of the hotel to both customers and colleagues in in a friendly and approachable manner. The general purpose of the Business Development manager is to make clients at home and to guarantee their contentment. Furnish clients with above-and-beyond service to ensure a memorable and genuine experience. The overall goal is to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction and engagement. Main Responsibilities: To identify and contact new Corporate Companies/Customers for new business and negotiate rates in line with company policy. Participating in sales, networking events and marketing incentives, such as, attending wedding fairs, corporate days, hospitality expos. as well as meeting with new and existing corporate customers. Develop a relationship with local businesses to promote their services as a reputable recommendation from the Glenroyal Hotel, such as florists, restaurants, hair and beauty salons, clothing and gift shops etc. Liaise with the Director of Sales and Marketing in relation to strategy for sales and new business. Meet and achieve all sales and new business targets. Meet and greet all guests upon arrival and departure ensuring customer/guest satisfaction. Have personalised letters for guests when it is not possible to meet guest in person. To act as a general information point for hotel guests, providing recommendations on trips, food and beverage options, special requests and any other information required. Take ownership of any complaints/issues/feedback, ensuring that they are dealt with to their conclusion and notifying guest relations email and inform respective department heads for actions. To manage feedback and comments received through our guest relations email and revert to all. Ensuring Customer Service and Standards are adhered to and holding regular in-house training and upskilling courses for new and existing team members. (i.e.: Customer service / Failte Ireland incentives / Service excellence / Banqueting service and any other areas where needed. Welcoming VIP guests, tour groups and other groups to the hotel, anticipate their needs and exceed their expectations. Provide welcome gifts to VIP and special occasion visitors to boost hotel standards and guest feedback. Leading by example and taking responsibility for day to day operational decisions. Availing of opportunities to promote hotel facilities both internally and externally. Encouraging guest/customer feedback to ensure satisfaction and the improvement of service. Experience/ Skills Required: Min. of 2 years working in a similar role in the hotel or hospitality industry. Min of Intermediate level using Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Office. Knowledge and experience using hotel system (Portfolio/Opera) a distinct advantage. Full clean drivers licence. Excellent grooming and presentation. Excellent communication and people skills.
