The MES/MII Solution Manager will be part of the Global (SAP) Team deploying global template worldwide. The team is currently working on parallel releases in complex cut-over environments which require a high level of project management discipline, deep factory automation systems & manufacturing process knowledge in a SAP environment with a strong appreciation of change management. The successful candidate will help to deploy and improve new processes and ways of working aligned to our Global Operating model. This person will work in the middle office function as part of the Manufacturing workstream which covers the areas of Engineering, Operations or Production Execution, Quality, and Warehouse. Some international travel will be required depending on the projects(30%). Responsibilities Gather and evaluate functional requirements, write functional specifications, coordinate onshore and offshore developers, test scenarios and build prototypes for SAP based MII and MES Manufacturing projects, and conduct functional unit and integration testing of SAP MII & MES based middleware solution. Will be responsible for working with Business and IT. Work with Solution Architects to define the Solution Architecture and deliver Architecture. Responsible for building a Proof of Concept Prototypes etc. Support deployment in pilot factories in all geographical zones. Manage the evolution of MII and shop floor automation in the Kerry ICT Systems Landscape. Identify, build, test and implement changes to current systems with the objective to ensure compliance, improve performance and/or usability. Act as the third level of support for MII & MES solutions, analysing and resolving incidents. Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes with focus on continuous improvement. Support the on-boarding and training of new team members. Requirements Broad understanding of the end to end supply chain processes within a factory (planning, scheduling, execution, quality and warehousing. Passion for manufacturing technologies, equipment, automation and data flow. Must have hands on experience with SAP MII functional design, configuration in conjunction with SAP ERP (PP-PI, MM, PM, QM, etc.) to support processes related to Order downloading, Routing, Quality, Material/ WIP inventory, Quality etc. Strong manufacturing/functional background with minimum 3+ years’ experience plus, implementing factory floor systems including: Proven experience with SAP MII in multi-site installations in international companies. Integration with shop floor applications via SAP MII. Building of applications on SAP MII (e.g. SAP OEE, SAP SPC) for multiple manufacturing sites. Integration with MES systems and factory automation layer (including Automation Control Systems, SCADA and Real-time Historians integration. Knowledge of technical architecture and installation of MII environments and capability to work with SAP Basis, Security and other teams responsible for server and OS management. Must have sound understanding of SAP MII/PCo Solution Landscape. Must understand internal working on SAP MII including but not limited to Business Logic Services, Query and Display Templates. Strong exposure interfacing SAP and other shop-floor systems (e.g. PLC, SCADA, MES, Label printers, scanners, barcode readers etc.) with SAP MII is required. Must have hands-on experience and proven track record in deploying MES solutions. Strong leadership, negotiation, listening and business acumenskills. Theoretical and practical project management experience and knowledge. Excellent decision-making and ability to work in a matrixed environment. Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Powerpoint and Microsoft Outlook. A team player with strong inter-personal and communication skills both in a project environment and with business stakeholders. Excellent document writing skills (e.g. functional specifications, business process design documents. Very strong analytical skills. Qualifications Master or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Sciences or Engineering, or equivalent years of experience. Should possess excellent communication / client facing / problem solving skills. Trained or Certified on SAP MII or equivalent experience. Fluency in English - both verbal and written.
