Our client, a leading engineering and construction group, are looking for a number of experienced mechanical, electrical and process estimators due to recent expansion in business needs.Sucessful candidtaes will be responsible for the overall and day to day management of cost planning/estimating for all disciplines from CSA to Mechanical, Electrical & Process (MEP) services, including producing accurate prime cost estimates for projects, co-ordinating the tender process, costing plans out and identifying areas of risk/scope. Main responsabilities of role: Assist with and implementing commercial strategies at a business level, such as supply chain management techniques, work package buy out etc. Liaise and co-ordinate with all disciplines, including Project Directors and the Commercial team to ensure delivery of project objectives. Customer contract review, edit and negotiation. Bid pricing advance review and ongoing monitoring against actual costs (including commission calculation and processing) through project life. Budget and forecast monitoring and review with periodic variance analysis and commentary. Taxation - research and recommendations re Irish and International taxation issues including corporation tax, VAT, sales tax, international withholding taxes, income and social security taxes. Cash-flow analysis and forecasting. Assist in the negotiation of contracts. Assess the quotations submitted and selecting the bidders with which the commercial/financial negotiations may be conducted. Conduct the financial and contract negotiations at the appropriate management level. Manages the competitive bidding and selection process. Negotiate contract terms, pricing and payment schedule, ensuring that the agreements with the vendors / suppliers are commercially advantageous. Develop and maintain a cost database for. MEP,CSA works. Preliminaries. Design costs / performance. Increased costs / market trends. Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications. QS Degree or equivalent experience in Semi-Conductor / High Technology Manufacturing, Micro-Electronics and Life Science industries. Experience in Contract Management (FIDIC, JCT, GC/Works and NEC. Experienced working in High Tech facilities engineering across Semicon, Life Science, Datacenter and/or Energy. Experienced in working directly with Client and Design teams. Experience of cost planning, bid preparation and management. Experience in a similar role in engineering company. Computer literacy. Good interpersonal & Leadership skills.
