Maintenance Manager, Job ref. JO3142 Kildare Temporary Role Full Time Salary Circa €55,000 Pro Rata The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the maintenance of the grounds, vehicles and buildings (including internal fittings) within the organisation. Core Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of the vehicle fleet including the rota schedule, servicing, vehicle safety and N.C.T.s.Responsible for the coordination of the maintenance of the grounds, liaison with and supervision of the grounds-work and horticultural teams.Responsible for the coordination of the maintenance of all buildings – including internal fixtures, fittings and furnishings.Responsible for the sourcing of buildings for rent, for service users in order to meet the growing demands for the services of the organisation.Liaison and negotiation with landlords on any issues.Purchasing for purchasing the relevant tools, equipment and furnishing required for grounds, buildings and vehicles.Sourcing and coordination of all external contractors.Providing support/training to external contractors in order to ensure that the specific needs of service users are respected and accommodated for. Management Duties: Ensure a high standard of maintenance for all buildings and grounds are met in order to provide a quality service for all end users.Responsible for keeping abreast of developments in terms of fire safety guidelines, building regulations and HIQA standards.Implementing appropriate changes when necessary to meet these standards.Identifying the training needs of staff in relation to fire safety, vehicle maintenance, building maintenance etc.Impart skills to staff via training when needed.Carry out the duties of H&S Officer in accordance with national standards.Take responsibility for budgets.Management of resources currently available and application of same when needed.Represent and provide support/supervision of grounds-work and Horticulture teams when required to promote strong teamwork.Liaise with H.R. in connection to recruitment of grounds-work and Horticulture team members.Develop, implement and maintain appropriate systems and support mechanisms to facilitate service deliver across all areas in relation to grounds, buildings and vehicles.Liaison with Director of Services ands board members on any relevant areas and identified proposed solutions.
