Tax Manager. Responsibilities. Manage the submission process of the annual tax returns (Forms CT1) and Forms 46G in advance of the filing deadlines. Manage the year end process and compute the income and deferred tax charges for the annual Financial Statements. Manage and Identify tax risks throughout the Group and take a lead role in managing tax compliance. Effect a tax programme which will ensure all Group companies are aware of their tax obligations and have procedures and reporting in place to ensure compliance with all obligations. Work in conjunction with the FSSC team specifically with regard to the development of effective and highly controlled tax processes. Drafting and implementation of tax policies and procedures to ensure that the Group are compliant with appropriate tax regulations. Provide appropriate tax advice to internal business partners (e.g. legal team, finance teams etc) within the Group and use external advisors as and when required to formulate and advise on tax efficient solutions. Assist with Group planning and other forecasting exercises, ensuring taxes are considered at every stage. Review business practices and proposed arrangements to provide tax efficient solutions that support these business initiatives. Manage the relationship between Revenue Commissioners especially the Case Manager. Provide tax advice on matters such as acquisitions, JV arrangements, business re-structuring and financial products. Provide tax training to appropriate staff. Ensure procedures are in place to support VAT, PAYE, PRSI, PWST, Carbon tax etc. and form 46G compliance and review as appropriate. Lead and Performance Manage your direct report(s). Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives. Requirements. ACA and AITI qualified. Five years’ post-qualification experience on both qualifications is essential. Experience with a Big 4 Company is advantageous. Industry background is desirable. Experience working with senior managers and external consultants. Must demonstrate experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships in a consultancy/ advisory capacity. Irish Tax experience is required. Team player with ability to work on their own initiative. Be flexible and prepared to work in any required areas. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement. A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem solving skills.
