The Finance Manager is responsible for all the Accounting and Finance functions of the European region. Position reports directly to the Assistant, Corporate Controller in the US and is responsible for all the financial activities and ensuring compliance with all regulatory financial filings and oversight of each European countries staff accountants/bookkeepers. WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH Responsible for leading the accounting teams in each country. Serve as project lead for accounting implementations or upgrades. Serve as the key contact for accounting, tax, bank and legal professionals for compliance and completion of audited financial statements for statutory filings and local compliance requirements. Prepare and maintain operational budgets including operating results, monthly balance sheets and cash flow statements, monthly analyses, and reporting of budget variances. Partner with business leaders to prepare sales forecasts and analyze actual results versus plan. Traveling approximately 25% of the time to various European locations. Assist business leaders and Corporate Accounting in special projects and analyses as directed. Qualifications and Skills. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Your Experience and Education (Required) Qualified Accountant and corresponding certifications. 8-10 years of accounting experience; including 3-5 years of experience managing other individuals. Experience in producing monthly financial statements and completing yearly audit with external Accountants. The candidate must be proficient in speaking and writing in English. Your Experience and Education (Preferred) International Accounting, cash management, and banking relationships. VAT reporting and any other monthly and annual legal and Accounting compliance reporting. Experience working with US accounting practices. NetSuite accounting system. Previous experience in the implementation of an Accounting or ERP system is highly desired. Experience working with organizations with operations in multiple European countries. Experience integrating acquisitions. Your Additional Skills and Abilities Strong leadership skills. Ability to work in a team-based environment. Must possess strong communication.
