Engineering Requirments: A third level qualification (minimum 2 year technician cert to degree) in an appropriate engineering discipline such as building services or mechanical engineering. Three years minimum experience in working with HVAC and ducting systems. Employments in HVAC design consultants, mechanical contractors, commissioning and validation contrcators would be the preferred backgrounds. Worked to engineering specifications and codes of practice. An understanding of ducting layout drawings and be capable of "taking off" quantities, scaling, identifying individual systems, etc. Knowledge of HVAC components. Knowledge ofHealth and Safety procedures, Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Be capable of reviewing raw information receieved from field technicians and converting it to working quotations and engineering reports. After a short period be capable of querying vagaries or misrepresentations on field reports to ensure final issued documents are accurate, technically correct and legal. IT & Administrative Requirements: High level of competency in word oprocessing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office). Will have knowledge of formatting, working with tables, tables of contents, importing/exporting data. We also have an in-house customised package which requires confidence on computers in general. Operate the company bespoke data capture and reporting system efficiently following training. Format engineering reports to industry standards. Be capable of generating bespoke reports where required in an efficient manner. Personality Requirements: Be ambitious and career driven - see opportunity and take it. Can work on own initiative and make sound managerial/contract decisions. Be comfortable with authority, groups. Loyal. Have a good pressence about them, be confident speaking. Be of a happy nature. There will be a high level of client liasion and interaction with the Managing Director/Operations Manager. The position will generally be office based but will entail site surveys and meetings all over Ireland. Candidate must be willing to travel and stay overnights, but this will be rare. The successful candidate will recieve in-house training and will be required to acquaint themselves quickly to the industry standards in order to ensure a swift integration into the position. -performance related add-ons and benefits can be discussed after a probationary period of 6-12 months.
