SQL & BI Developer Required - Global Financial Services - Kildare. This client is a large global Finance Services organisation with significant operations in Kildare, encompassing 500 staff with 7,000 employees globally. Joining a team of 70 in IT, you will be part of the team of 15 in Data Warehousing/Reporting across the group and based in Kildare. You will be responsible for a data analysis, data migration, integration, ETL and report development using the full Microsoft BI stack. This is a technical development role using the latest Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS & SSIS 2014. The Position: You will play a key business facing role as a BI Developer, working closely across multiple business units to design and develop Business Intelligence solutions for financial clients and support the resolution of complex BI project issues on behalf of the business. You will analyse, migrate and integrate data on behalf of the client onto the company's platform for conversion and development of both simple and highly complex reporting requirements. You will translate business and technical requirements into high level, critical, detailed queries and reports developed through the Data Warehouse presentation layer. You will migrate information into the Data Warehouse and will be involved in proposing new data packages (cube development) and reporting structures and advise on best practice on an ongoing basis. You will be using SQL, SSIS & SSRS 2014 and this role will be circa 20% liaising with the business to translate requirements into effective BI solutions, 40% technical backend data warehouse development and 40% front end and analytical reporting design/development. You will also be involved in database optimisation and tuning as required and will help to build out the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environment as it evolves. The Person: You will have strong SQL development as well as SSAS/SSIS/SSRS 2012/2014 competencies preferably 2014 in a large enterprise environment and ideally financial. You will have excellent communication and business facing skills as this role requires extensive interfacing with the business to design and develop scalable BI solutions. You will have strong Data Warehouse development experience and have developed cubes and complex reports in previous roles in the last number of years. You will have competency around database/Data Warehouse tuning and optimisation. You will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills. You will have a strong work ethic and be confident in your capabilities.
