This organisation is a household name in the FMCG space, and due to continued penetration of the Irish market, they are looking to add to their team by welcoming an analytical and commercially-aware data scientist to their team in Dublin. This role is key to developing new business plans based on business intelligence and will be the go-to for data-driven decisions within the organisation. Sounds good so far, but what would my day-to-day look like? Gather data and build data-fuelled solutions to help stakeholders improve strategic decision-making. Provide insight into best-in-class analytics processes. Work with various business and technical stakeholders to identify insights across the business. Provide expertise on concepts and drive adoption of advanced analytics solutions within the business. Allow ever-improving business decision-making through data. Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered? Degree, and ideally post-grad qualification in a technical discipline. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced (ideally FMCG/retail/supply chain) environment. Experience with various business intelligent tools including Microstrategy, Tableau, SQL and advanced Excel. Experience developing in Java (or Scala) would be an advantage but isn’t strictly necessary. Looks like a fit! What else do I need to know? This role is based in West Dublin and is a fixed-term contact (9 months with possibility for extension) offering an annualised salary of up to €70K.
