Food and Beverage Manager - Kildare. We are currently seeking a qualified experienced Food and Beverage Manager for our esteemed client. The ideal candidate will have 5 years Food and Beverage Management or Assistant Manager Experience in the Irish Hotel/hospitality market. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the food and beverage operation and making a contribution to the profitability of the business by ensuring effective cost controls within the department. This manager will also maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction while creating a work environment that supports organisational values. The Manager will liaise effectively with all departments to ensure consistency and smooth operations throughout the property. The Job: Ensure the smooth and efficient operation throughout the Food and Beverage department. To manage stock and ensure that all control measures are implemented, in order to achieve budgeted profit margins. Meet departmental budgets, set targets and goals for team members. Ensure all team members are fully trained in all hotel services and products to maximise sales and upselling opportunities. Up to date knowledge of hotel operations, best practice, current market trends, competitor activity and all legislative requirements of the department. Develop excellent working relationships with all vendors and maintain external business relationships. Implement and maintain procedure to ensure efficient and effective operations. Actively seek avenues for business development and entry into new market segments. Coordinate with other HOD's on strategic hotel operations, budgets and targets. Recruit, train and retain a competent and passionate team who go above and beyond to meet customer expectations. You: Come from a strong background in hospitality operational management. 5 years prior experience in a Food and Beverage operations management. Financial Acumen and a proven track record of working to budgets. Have exemplary food and beverage knowledge and service skills. Love working in the industry and focused on a long term career. Well presented with an excellent manner and guest focused personality. Natural Leadership skills and ability to build a team focused work environment. Excellent problem solving skills and solution focused attitude. Calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult situations as they arise. Have an ability to think strategically about the food and beverage department and the hotels overall operation.
